The Challenge

The Challenge

Primary school teachers often struggle with effectively tracking student progress due to rigid, clunky systems that are not designed with their workflows in mind. These tools tend to be time-consuming and heavily reliant on manual data entry, making the process inefficient and taking valuable time away from teaching.

Key Pain Points

Key Pain Points

Time Inefficiency: Data entry is manual and time-consuming, taking teachers away from higher-value tasks like teaching and student support.

Fragmented systems: Schools are forced to pay for and manage multiple platforms due to the lack of a single, comprehensive solution for student tracking.

Loss of individualisation: Rigid systems force children into predefined categories, causing their unique learning journeys and progress to be overlooked.

The Solution

The Solution

The Classify app offers a streamlined solution to fragmented, manual progress tracking: educators can record verbal feedback during class or while grading. Our algorithm analyses these recordings to assess each student's performance across academic and personal development objectives. This enables teachers to view detailed profiles for each child and gain macro insights into overall progression.

Key Findings

Key Findings

  • Audio/dictation input was preferred for live marking and capturing key moments, saving time - especially in primary education.

  • Easy navigation proved more critical than expected, highlighting a key pain point in existing tools and making it a high-risk, high-priority assumption.

  • Teachers were able to easily use the Classify app while teaching and live marking, and did not find it to be a hindrance.

  • Many headteachers are willing and interested in transitioning to Classify.

Key Findings

Key Findings

  • No true all-in-one solution: Existing platforms each cover parts of the workflow, but none offer a complete end-to-end tracking and insight system.

  • Limited real-time support: Most tools lack functionality for live marking and in-lesson use, creating a disconnect between teaching and tracking.

  • Lack of actionable insights: While data is captured, it is rarely translated into meaningful, usable insights for teachers.

  • Poor usability is common: Navigation and ease of use remain a consistent weakness across competitors.

  • Heavy manual input: Systems rely heavily on time-consuming data entry, increasing teacher workload.

  • Clear opportunity for differentiation: Classify stands out by combining usability, real-time input, and automated insights into a single platform.

  • Competitive pricing advantage: Classify offers broader functionality at a comparable or lower cost, strengthening its value proposition.
